E-shop warehouses appeared to be larger than traditional retail chains

In 2017 total warehouse space rented by e-shops increased by 47 times vs LY. While in 2016 this figure did not come over 5600 sqm, in 2017 it is already 263 100 sqm. Moreover take in mind that current year is not over and this figure could significantly increase! Online retail share is rapidly increasing and during past 2 or 3 years it has got from the level of 3% to 43%.

The largest retail chains are Utkonos (with 71 000 sqm of warehouses) and Wildberries( 145 000 sqm). Affordable warehouse rent cost favours e-trade development.
